Healthwatch in Greater Manchester response statement to BBC Panorama allegations on Edenfield Medium Secure Unit

The Healthwatch in Greater Manchester Network is aware of the BBC Panorama allegations regarding standards of care at the Edenfield Medium Secure Unit which is part of The Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust.

On behalf of the communities served by Healthwatch across Greater Manchester the Network is writing to the NHS Foundation Trust to seek assurance that they are responding to the allegations as a matter of priority and ensuring appropriate support measures are in place for the families of patients who may be concerned for the welfare of their loves ones.

Anyone with information about the allegations should contact the police on 101 quoting Operation Crawton.
