Who We Are
Healthwatch Tameside is your local independent champion for people who use health and care services. We listen to your experiences and share what you tell us with those who have the power to make services better — including the NHS, local councils, and service providers.
Since launching, we’ve:
•    Spoken to thousands of local people about their experiences with GPs, hospitals, dentists, pharmacies, care homes and more.
•    Influenced change in health and care services, from improving access to mental health support to ensuring care home residents are treated with dignity and respect.
•    Worked directly with decision-makers, helping ensure that services reflect the real needs of our communities — especially for seldom-heard groups.

What Does the Advisory Board Do?

Our Board plays a key role in:

  • Setting our strategic direction
  • Ensuring accountability and good governance
