Our Business Plan 2023/24

Healthwatch Tameside launch our business plan for the year ahead.

Healthwatch Tameside are pleased to share our business plan 2023/24 which describes our activities as your local health and social care champion. The plan identifies how we will use our resources to understand local peoples experiences to influence NHS leaders to make services better for our communities.

Our priorities are set according to the needs of residents of Tameside therefore our board have agreed that we will focus our engagement expertise on projects related to the cost-of-living crisis, GP online accessibility and children and adolescent mental health services.

In order to support the monitoring of health and care service we will strengthen our Enter and View functions by developing policies, procedures, and a framework to support justification of this power.

We know our impact is greater when we are supported by our people therefore we will build on our work with our volunteers and will expand our offer by establishing a young Healthwatch in Tameside.

The Board of Healthwatch Tameside is really pleased to be able to publish our Business Plan and over the course of the year we will seek assurance that we have delivered upon our objectives. That assurance will be presented to the Board during the part of our meetings that is open to attendance by members of our community. If you would like to follow our progress you will find the details of our Board meetings on the Healthwatch Tameside website.
