Health and care experiences report 2023

This new report provides information about the responses to our Health and care experiences survey, which was open from April to December 2022.

People told us about what worked well when they needed care, and also about when things didn't go so well.

Looking at the positive comments, the themes mentioned most often were:

  • Staff
  • Care provided

Understanding needs of individual patient was good

The themes receiving most negative comments included:

  • Long waiting times for appointments, and difficulties in accessing care, including phone access.
  • Communication
  • Care provided

'Care provided' has both positive and negative comments, and more details can be found in the report.

There is an issue with poor communication. Why do we have to keep asking and not getting answers?

We also asked about whether people had delayed asking for help.

When feeling low I haven’t bothered trying to get an appointment as it will be weeks away or by telephone
