Our Annual Report 2022/23

Our annual report highlights our accomplishments over the past year, which includes the impact we have achieved working with communities, the projects we have undertaken and a look forward to our future priorities.

This year too marks a special 10-year anniversary milestone for Healthwatch. Over the last ten years, people have shared their experiences, good and bad, to help improve health and social care. In the past 12 months, 765 people have shared their experiences of health and social care services with us, helping to raise awareness of issues and influence system leaders.

We have also developed research projects looking directly into issues around the cost of living crisis and peoples experience of mental health services in Tameside. Our in-depth insight led to the publication of reports focused on delays in non-urgent care and changes to the way people access health and care services.

The annual report is an opportunity to share with you how our work has made a difference in the past 12 months. Our report highlights how we have listened to over 700 people’s experiences and used those insights to influence commissioners, providers, and policymakers on a range of issues.

This year marks our 10-year anniversary, and I would like to thank all those who have supported Healthwatch Tameside in its mission to make sure people’s experiences help make health and care better.
